Kenji Aoki is a competitive eater, blogger, and competition organiser from Japan. He hosts a couple of websites, and has organised eating competitions.

EatFeats.com describes him as “maintainer of one of the more popular Japanese competitive eating websites” – see translation of website . He also has a blog  – see translation .

Aoki is mentioned in the book Horsemen of the Esophagus by U.S. author Jason Fagone, who travelled to Japan with U.S. competitive eater Dave “Coondog” O’Karma. Aoki organised a local, informal eating contest between Coondog and local eaters. From his website it was apparent “he often staged his own informal eating contests” called “Sushi Battle Clubs” in homage to the Japanese show Food Battle Club. They meet in Harajuku, so that’s as good as any for the map location. There’s pictures of Aoki on the book website . See Horsemen of the Esophagus chapter 5, p81-82, 86-89.
